ShopRite of Forest & Richmond: Reviews & Ratings
I have been to this store twice with my mother and I thought the prices were little cheaper. In the summertime I was wrong. I've got 9 items what I felt like to me was 30 or $40. But when I went to the concession stand I found out that it was almost $50 because they were prices on the shelves that was less pricey. I felt like they just put that there to show off. If I were you I would go on instacart instead of doing ShopRite outside. I tried this method last week and it wasn't what I expected. It's not a bad store. They do have a bathroom. In certain Seasons, their prices are high and sometimes their quality is bad.
They always got some good flowers especially in the winter time price are fair I usually go to the one in Richmond or Hylan and avoid going to the one in Veterans even though it was the closest one people at that location isn’t my cup of tea so other shop rite is better in a different location I wish it was fixed soon there otherwise it would be a big Nono for us families anyway prices here are cheap
Decent local ShopRite for everyday shopping on Staten Island! This Forest & Richmond location is super convenient if you're in the Mid-Island area – open 24 hours, which is a lifesaver for late-night runs or early mornings. The store is pretty big with a good layout: wide aisles, solid produce section (fresh fruits/veggies most times, good variety of organics), butcher counter with nice cuts, and a decent deli for subs/salads.
Is there any particular reason why when they have the best deals and the best sales I have to come three times a day to see if they actually stocked up and every single day to see if the items are available ? And no one seems to have an answer every time you ask a worker when will it be available they don’t know or how much is this display that’s on sale their respond is oh I don’t know , you can check in the app or ask customer service and their other response is oh I don’t really know if they have any more of this item. whatever’s there I cannot help you or you can try to ask customer service This seems to happen every week I come in to shop specially for the sales item and you never know what time it will be available or what day , and if it’s available, no one‘s there to get it for you or to stock up on it throughout the whole day, It’s very upsetting when I find the best deals and drive-by, and I don’t find these items that are advertising the circular They definitely need additional grocery workers to stock up on all these sale items All I ever see is one older man stocking up and he’s constantly by his self and so many senior customers need his help . Hopefully after this review, we can see more improvements. . I can understand weekends the sale is ending. They’re out of stock. I could understand the end of the night they’re out of stock but mid weekdays 11:30 AM it’s all out of stock. So what time and what day of the week is the best day to come when everything is stocked up?
I went into store to pick up a few things on 9/11/25 around 4pm a few things turned into more. I was not feeling too well I went into a line to cash out with a cashier but unfortunately the person in front of me had a few different sales from Instacart. To my right was the fast lanes but I could not push my car over because it had no entrance if I backed out and in the front of me I had no room since the man working was still scanning with the cashier. I started moving my items to the right, instantly a young man by the name of Anthony started scanning all my items and it was quite a bit with no invitation and even asked me to hand him my Shoprite Card and all of the rest of the groceries, what a helpful, caring young man. Then I was having trouble with my payment and a young man by the name of Matthew immediately jumped into the main register not the one I was using and having trouble with but made it a priority to help me in my distress. I hope these two young men are recognized and given the appreciation for being so kind and helpful to their customers. They are a rare breed nowadays, keep up the good work young men.
I can't believe how kind these people are. I've been shopping with them for years. Discounts to Seniors, Veterans and Disabled people. With fresh produce, fresh meat,( by the way you can get meat to serve your needs), great products!! Thank you ALWAYS!!
I stepped counting at how many years I'm shopping at this ShopRite and how many wonderful check out people I have had especially the recent young man I'm sorry that I don't have his name who not only baged for me ask me if I wanted to have him help me to the car since the weather was so bad
I walked into ShopRite with the noble mission of buying a single gallon of milk. You know, in and out, quick and easy. But apparently, ShopRite operates under some sort of grocery black hole effect, because 97 minutes later I’m staggering to my car with 14 shopping bags, $142 poorer, and zero recollection of how a pineapple, a bulk-sized jar of olives, and three pints of ice cream made it into my cart. The produce section was so fresh I’m convinced the tomatoes were judging me for buying Pop-Tarts. Every five minutes, an employee appeared out of nowhere to ask if I needed help finding anything—like a grocery guardian angel. I’m not sure if they’re trained that well or if I just looked incredibly lost standing in front of the yogurt section for 12 minutes trying to make life decisions. And let’s talk about the bakery section… oh my. Whoever’s in charge back there is either an evil genius or a pastry warlord. The bread was still warm, the cupcakes were staring me down like they knew my weaknesses, and the donuts? Let’s just say if I ever disappear, check the ShopRite bakery first. By the time I reached the checkout, I realized ShopRite had accomplished what no financial advisor has ever done—convincing me to spend my entire grocery budget for the month in one glorious, slightly chaotic trip. Even the self-checkout machines were suspiciously friendly, asking if I wanted coupons for things I didn’t even buy. In conclusion, 10/10 shopping experience. Highly recommend… but bring a list, a support group, and maybe one of those chain wallets so your money doesn’t escape you like mine did.
